Stargazing, Off the Record

Case 33 · Hard

A meteor shower was due over Puffin Rock, so the observatory held a public stargazing evening with warm scones and tea. Mr. Endicott, a visiting journalist, had come to write a glowing feature about the town's tiny window on the universe. The stars turned up right on schedule; the story never did. Mr. Endicott was found dead, with the radio lying nearby. Whoever had the radio did it.
