Seal Cove Boatyard

On the night of the spring tide, Seal Cove Boatyard was supposed to be dark and quiet. Yet lights flickered, and whispers drifted across the water. Miss Kendal, a go-between for smugglers who liked to keep their own hands clean, had come to settle a delicate bargain. By sunrise, Miss Kendal was found dead and the bargain was off. Biscuit's nose twitched at the salt air. Who else crept out that night?

The victim: Miss Kendal, a smuggler's go-between.
