The Winter Gardens were dressed in fairy lights for the summer gala, and every seat had sold out within the hour. Mr. Radley, the pianist's manager, had come to make sure his star was paid on time and properly applauded. Before the final bow, Mr. Radley was found dead. Ada Quill suspects the music was covering something up.
