A Toast to the Tortoise

Case 28 · Medium

A tortoise turns one hundred only once, so Wrenfield Manor threw a birthday dinner for its oldest resident. Mr. Ormsby, the family lawyer, had come to raise a glass and, it was whispered, discuss some paperwork. Biscuit and the guest of honor eyed each other thoughtfully. Mr. Ormsby was found dead late that night, and the question is who saw him last. The suspect seen latest was the last to see Mr. Ormsby alive, and did it.
