A Bid for Applecross

Case 12 · Easy

Cider flowed, pumpkin pies cooled and the fiddles never stopped at the Applecross Farm harvest supper. Mr. Eversley, a would-be buyer, had come to size up the farm and seemed to like every acre of it. Biscuit preferred the pie. Mr. Eversley was found dead late that night, and the question is who saw him last. The suspect seen latest was the last to see Mr. Eversley alive, and did it.
